After 22 years, the Toronto Blue Jays have finally done it: they’ve rounded the bases and slid into the playoffs. A divisional pennant’s a sure way to swell the blue bandwagon, but how much do Canadians really love baseball? While fans of the sport hail from across the country and span all age groups, most supporters reside in urban areas. And even though baseball can claim a diverse fan base, data from Environics Analytics, Numeris and PMB found only 15 percent of Canadians watched last season’s Major League Baseball playoffs. But this year, with Canada’s only team fighting for a place in the World Series that number should grow. –Jemicah Marasigan
