Amanda Maltby is a highly regarded leader with over 25 years of extensive experience in privacy and data governance, corporate compliance and ethics and a deep knowledge of public policy issues impacting business and consumers. As Chief Privacy Officer at Environics Analytics, Amanda focuses on corporate matters of privacy, security, data governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
Prior to joining Environics Analytics, Amanda was General Manager, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Privacy Officer at Canada Post. Under her leadership, Canada Post transformed its approach to privacy and established a dynamic and modern privacy framework committed to transparent, ethical and responsible management and protection of customer and employee personal information throughout its business and operations.
Amanda actively participates in several boards, industry associations and think-tanks in Canada and the US including the Canadian Marketing Association, CANON (Canadian Anonymization Network) and the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada. She is a founding member of Canada’s Business Privacy Group that includes some of Canada’s leading privacy professionals and industry associations focused on building trust in Canada’s digital ecosystem and statutory regimes. Amanda is active in the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has served as a member of the IAPP’s Canadian Advisory Board.
