WealthTrends data provides insights into Canadian households increasing their total wealth during the pandemic
Households in Canada have added billions to their total wealth over the COVID-19 pandemic, an unexpected outcome during a seismic economic shock.
Over the first nine months of 2020, the average household saw its net worth increase by roughly $30,600 or 5.4 percent, according to Environics Analytics data provided exclusively to The Globe and Mail. In every province, net worth was on the rise.
