VisitorView provides the insights the tourism industry needs to understand, market to and grow their business with American travelers. VisitorView helps identify American neighborhoods whose residents have a high propensity to visit Canada.
A tourism authority can identify the best regions and neighborhoods in the U.S. to prospect for new visitors and use PRIZM Premier to optimize media buying strategies.
A regional tourism authority can measure the effectiveness of its marketing strategies on American visitors.
Hotels can determine the types of travellers staying in a particular region overnight to measure their relative market share.
Carriers can identify the final destination of American visitors to Canada to unlock new product or route opportunities.
Rental car companies can identify untapped market opportunities and target prospective travellers to Canada.
VisitorView produces neighborhood-level estimates of overnight American visitors to Canada, the provinces and territories, or one of Canada’s 85 tourism regions as defined by Destination Canada. Estimates are provided for the total number of visitors, the number of trips and the number of nights spent in each province or tourism region. This is all calibrated using Statistics Canada’s International Travel Survey and Frontier Counts of U.S. overnight person trips to Canada.
