AgeByIncome

AgeByIncome provides a detailed view of how household income varies across different age groups at the postal code level across Canada. The data combines six household maintainer age groups, ranging from under 35 to 75 and older, with a comprehensive set of income bands spanning from under $20,000 to $200,000+, enabling a structured view of how affluence is distributed across populations. Derived from customized Statistics Canada inputs and modeled using advanced estimation techniques, the data delivers reliable small-area insights and is aligned with the age and inflation-adjusted income frameworks used in EA’s flagship demographic product, DemoStats.



How it’s used 

  • Real estate developers seeking residents for a seniors’ community use AgeByIncome to identify markets filled with 65 to 74 year olds, whose annual income is more than $80,000.
  • Financial services companies use AgeByIncome to analyze customers of their various products, giving them the ability to target their messages, products, and services according to customers’ life stage and income levels.
  • Marketers use AgeByIncome as an overlay with our PRIZM® segmentation system to further refine their consumer targeting efforts. Users are able to locate those under-35-year-olds with incomes of $60,000 to $80,000 for any PRIZM® segment of interest.
